Navy Jonden Spandex Disco Jeans

Not too long ago I came into a navy blue pair of Jonden disco pants for a great price. However, when I received them, they looked pretty tattered and soiled and in all honesty I was a bit disgusted with them. To add to that, they were sent inside one of those thin plastic shopping bags you get from discount stores. I was really grossed out by them, lol. So I just put them back in their bag and tossed them aside. I felt they were completely not worthy of being anywhere near my collection of spandex disco jeans.

Last evening I decided to try them on. My initially feelings of digust had worn off greatly so I was ready to check them out. They turned out to fit me very nice! They are skintight yet easy to get on and take off. The waist is very forgiving similar to my other Jonden pants. They were really short on me but there was 4 or 5 inches of hem that could be let down and so I did. After that they were perfectly long enough for me.

Similar to my experience with Jonden spandex jeans this pair had the aforementioned super-stretchy waist and also a nylon zipper and lower-hanging back pockets. On the other hand, this pair is not quite as shiny as my bright blue, white and red pairs. Its shine is more subtle, similar to the black ones I have.

This navy blue pair has a lot of broken stitches and clearly has been repaired before albeit it with, strangle enough, white thread. So initially when I saw small segments of white fibers sticking out in various areas I naturally thought they were spandex fibers. Thankfully they are not but I still don’t understand why anyone would use white thread on a dark color such as this.

I think I will feel better yet about these pants once I get them washed myself. And then I will take them to the cleaners to have those stitches repaired. Here’s a little back view of the pants on:

I haven’t worn any disco pants since my last post. It’s a bit of a mood thing, you know? I have declared many times that I would be pleased to live in them. But sometimes there are other things going on. Sometimes I feel overweight. This week is not looking too great either, but I think Friday should be the day I wear some. It will be only my 2nd wearing for this month of March. But there’s still time to get another 2 or 3 wearings after that.

Once again I have to mention that AA still doesn’t have their disco pant in charcoal for sale. Not only that but once again the color swatch has once again disappeared from among the choices. So I don’t know what’s going on there.

That’s all for now.

A good tailor should be able to repair those easily since most of the problem areas are right on the seams.

Yeah, I’ll have to take those in. First I want to get them washed and then see about those repairs. Thanks for reading!
